The research at the other end of the spectrum is smaller, but it's worth knowing, because sleeping significantly more than recommended is not simply a harmless luxury, and in some studies, it correlates with worse, not better, cognitive outcomes.

The practical takeaway from this research is not that additional sleep should be feared. It is that consistent sleep significantly outside the range of seven to nine hours, in either direction, warrants attention, rather than automatically being assumed healthy just because it looks like more rest. Anyone who finds their normal sleep duration has shifted toward ten or eleven hours per night, especially if this is a genuine change from before, may have an underlying issue, mood-related, metabolic, or in sleep quality, that is worth identifying, rather than chalking up the extra hours to self-care.
